Farmers' market is worth a look

Several weeks ago I went along to the County Town Farmers' Market, held on the first Saturday of each month outside County Hall.

I have long thought it was a good idea for Maidstone to do more to support our agricultural industry, and Sustainable Maidstone should be commended for organising the market.

Stalls available included local eggs, vegetables, fruit and meat. There was also access to information about living more sustainable lifestyles.

I look forward to seeing what other ways Sustainable Maidstone will suggest to help local businesses and producers.
